About me

Fabrice Calando

Who I am, in a nutshell

I am a Marketing Director at a company called TIMC. I’ve been working in the digital space for a decade or so. Before being a Marketing Director, I was a digital and social media strategist. I’ve worked at some of the largest Canadian advertising agencies and media companies. I developed and implemented web and social media strategies at Campaigner, Cossette, Astral MediaAdviso and TMP Worldwide.

A few takeaways

What you’ll find here

I look at the intersection of social media and personal development. I’m passionate about understanding how we can live a better life at home and at work by using new digital tools and just a little bit of a will power.

Hack Your Life Project

I’m also currently in the process of working through a Hack Your Life Project. Each week I set a challenge for myself.

Why?

Your life is a system made up by “people who are no smarter than you” as Steve Jobs put it. When you realize that, you realize you can hack it…stretch the system’s capabilities to achieve new and better results. But why don’t we always strive to achieve more? We go through our simple day-to-day life being afraid. Afraid of what would happen if we did things differently. Afraid of actually having to do something. The Hack Your Life Project is about doing.

#blogreview I love your writing, I feel your site is a bit spartan. Design is clean, but I have no love for the monochrome. How about a random splash of a single color? Anywhere!

      Thank you sir!

Fabrice, I dig the minimalist approach, but until I feel like I know a bit about you, I am hesitant to proceed. Pic? More of a personal bio. Julien is a good example. Professional, but not hesitant to let you know who he is early. In this economy, trust is what garners clients, results are what keep them.

Hi Fabrice…I liked your range of lists / bullets / paragraphs and I loved the cat close up…fantastic pic. Not sure if list of 27 things is a bit long though…go for 10 max maybe? Keep going…let your style evolve over time too…a writer writes!

I actually prefer the minimalist approach, but I’d like to see a bit more behind the curtain – case studies from past client experiences and a few personal stories to add a bit more human to the mix. Content is solid my friend, keep fighting the good fight. #blogreview

More personal info and photos seem to be the general insight. Totally agree. Case studies is a great idea as well. Thanks for taking the time!
