The following Seth Godin post reminded me of the Kid Rock quote

If it looks good, you’ll see it. If it sounds good, you’ll hear it. If it’s marketed right, you’ll buy it. But… if it’s real, you’ll feel it.

What can you say about your brand? Is it real? Does it earn attention and respect over time? Or is it simply marketed right?
